Union Aerospace Corporation - Founded in 2028, ten years before intersystem space travel would become both efficient and commonplace, and financed by the United Nations, the UAC was created in response to increasing threats from radical terrorist groups working to disrupt peace on a worldwide scale. Consisting of two branches, one of scientists working to solve the everyday problems of a global society of ten billion people polluting at an apocalyptic rate, and the other, a military force comprised of elite marines charged with the task of defending the security of the planet Earth and later its colonies throughout space, the UAC is both respected and unique in its duty to the human race.

Ironically, it would be this very organization that would inadvertently bring death to countless individuals and spell indescribable horror for the same people its leaders and members had sworn to protect.

This is the story of science gone too far. This is the story of Doom.
